This Public Health Conversation Starter features Virginia Sapiro, Professor Emerita of Political Science; Dean Emerita, Boston University College of Arts & Sciences, in conversation with Yvette Cozier, BUSPH Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. Dr. Sapiro shares about her scholarly interests, which include American politics, political psychology and political behavior, gender politics, feminist theory, American political development, and the history of higher education.Our Conversation Starters engage leading thinkers in short discussions around issues of consequence in public health. This Starter is part of SPH Reads, our school-wide reading program hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. In conjunction with this year’s book selection, Strangers in Their Own Land: Anger and Mourning on the American Right, Dean Cozier is having discussions with leaders on the themes of political divides, class, and race.
